On August 16, the morning starts with the Ministry Fair and All Church Breakfast, 9:45 to 10:45 in the gym, in place of Sunday School classes. Come hungry and curious: the room fills with the ministries that make up life at Westlake, music, children and youth, service, study, and more. Wander the booths, meet the people behind each one, and find where you might like to plug in - or just enjoy a good breakfast and good company. Worship at 11:00 includes a Blessing of the Backpacks: every backpack, book bag, and lunchbox is welcome for a blessing over the year ahead. Whether it's a first day of kindergarten or the start of senior year, there's a blessing for you, too.

August 23, the celebration continues marking the kickoff of the fall Sunday School season. Adult and children's classes start at 9:45, ahead of worship. After worship, the party moves outside: from 12 to 1pm, kids can enjoy pizza, snow cones, and a bounce house right on the church grounds. Come for a class, stay for the party, or just join in on the fun after worship.
