Fellowship Class

  • While we are the largest of the Sunday school groups, the Fellowship Class welcomes everyone! It’s a place of personal relationships – building on existing ones and looking for new people to join us in Christian fellowship. Our members generally have college age or grown children. A typical Sunday morning begins with a short period of greeting and catching up on the previous week’s activities before starting our program/study time. Our programs cover a wide range of topics that move between several categories throughout the year, such as: Living Christianity, Bible study, Christian History and Other (art, current events, etc.).

From time to time, we have guest speakers or churchwide studies, but for the most part, the class programming is based on DVD studies produced by noted commentators – Andy Stanley, Adam Hamilton, John Ortberg, Rob Bell, and PBS Frontline. Using video presentations projected on a large screen, a typical class will have equal time for video and then facilitated discussion. Class members come from a wide range of life experiences and Christian understandings. Our discussions are rich with ideas and practicality (and often some real-life humor) as we seek to help each other grow toward lives lived in the example of Christ.
