I have been a preschool director in Austin since 2003, and became the director at Westlake United Methodist Preschool in 2016.

Originally from the California Bay Area, I moved to Austin with my husband Noel in 1993, when he accepted a position as a professor at the University of Texas. We have two children, Christina and Anthony.

Before becoming a director I got my college degree at Duke University and my teaching credential through San Jose State University. After graduation I worked for an educational publishing company and taught kindergarten for Round Rock ISD. I also volunteered for many years at my children’s schools and in children’s ministries at my church, another United Methodist congregation in Austin.
