Montopolis Community Center

Westlake UMC continually collects clothes, toys, baby items and small house wares to support the MFCC Thrift Store in the Taylor building outside room 400. Financial contributions are used for ministries at this East Austin Methodist community center and pre-school.

EXTRA HELP NEEDED to KEEP MFCC COOL !!!

In 2008 the Montopolis FCC Board made a special plea for donations to pay for shredded material needed to complete the center’s new playscape. Because of your generosity, the neighborhood children continue to enjoy this wonderful playscape today!

In 2013 we needed a new roof over the Colorado Hall and you came through again. The hall remains in continual use by neighbors and groups in the area.

This May, the central air conditioning unit that cools the clothing room (thrift store) and the prep/intake area went out. On May 31, 2018 the MFCC Board approved a new 14-ton unit and it was installed on June 8th by QLS Air Conditioning Company for a cost of $4800. While money is budgeted for Building & Grounds, this AC expenditure eliminates most of that amount for the fiscal year 2018 with nearly seven months to go.

You can help by buying 1/100 ton for $3.43 OR 1/10 ton for $ 34.30 or one ton of AC for $343. Please be creative and do whatever you can to help raise these funds.

Our goal is $4800 by September 15, 2018. You may pass the hat at church meetings and circle/unit UMW meetings, ask your adult Sunday school classes to contribute or designate a special offering at your church. Please put this plea in your church newsletter. Please make copies of this flyer and give to all who may want to help! Blessings to you all!
