Jimmy and Roselyn Carter Work Project

Volunteer Today for World-wide Carter Habitat Work Project, Oct 26-31

Austin Habitat for Humanity has been named the site of the world-wide Jimmy and Roselyn Carter Work Project for 2025. This is a huge honor as only one location is selected each year for this program. Beginning in 1984, President and Mrs. Carter traveled the world with Habitat to build and improve homes. Their work has engaged more than 108,100 volunteers in 14 countries to help build, renovate or repair 4,447 homes.

In Austin during the week of October 26-31, twenty-five homes will be built by volunteers from around the world in the eastern Travis County Whisper Valley neighborhood (between Lake Walter E Long and Manor along Hwy 130).

Learn more about this special event even if you cannot volunteer by viewing this attachment (JONATHAN, SEE CWP ABOVE) or attending the Opening Ceremony at the Bob Bullock Museum on Sunday, October 26 (doors open 5:30, ceremony 6:00).

Because of our longstanding partnership with Austin Habitat, Westlake UMC has been given 25 volunteer slots for this epic event. To register, please click here.

On the drop-down menu, under "business name", select “Faith House". You can volunteer for 1 or more of the 5 workdays (M-F). Construction skills or experience is appreciated but NOT required.

Reserve your spot today to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime volunteer opportunity! Questions? Contact Eric Weidmann at 512-921-0183.
