Music has always been a passion of mine. I was born and raised in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, surrounded by a family of church musicians. I received degrees in music education from the University of Delaware and Texas State University. Currently, I live in Kyle and teach middle school band in Hays CISD. Prior to my current position, I taught elementary band and orchestra in Maryland and middle school band, chorus, general music, and musical theatre in New Jersey.
I also have a passion for the marching arts—I marched with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps (DCI) in 2012-2013 and with United Percussion (WGI) in 2014. Since then, I have taught several high school marching bands and drum corps in PA, MD, NJ, and TX. Currently, I enjoy spending part of my summers as a brass instructor with the Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps based in Southern California. Other hobbies of mine include dancing (salsa and two-step), hiking, camping, traveling, and attempting to grow plants.
